Designing
for Pedestrian Safety
-- Charlie Zegeer and Michael
Ronkin. In this two-day workshop, participants
will learn of effective engineering countermeasures
that improve pedestrian safety. Beyond describing
these features, the instructors will present information

and how to use them correctly. A field trip to two
sites with pedestrian safety problems, followed up
with a hands-on problem solving mini-charrette will
allow everyone to actively apply these techniques
in real-world situations. Workshop will be on
Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3. Cost to
attend the workshop only is $110. Cost to attend
the workshop and the conference is $195.
