Chapters

When you join the statewide BikeWalk Virginia organization, you also become a member of your local chapter (if one exists). Together, BikeWalk Virginia and its chapters promote safe walking, biking, and trail facilities and organize bike, pedestrian, and trail safety programs.

• Local chapters strengthen BikeWalk Virginia's statewide platform.

• Chapter priorities and strategies are informed by a firsthand knowledge of neighborhood concerns and conditions in their own counties, cities, and towns.

• Chapters mobilize and involve their communities, partnering with local municipalities and civic organizations.

BikeWalk Virginia, as the parent organization, provides financial and administrative support, advocacy training, and other resources.
