Bike Virginia conducts ongoing programs to support improving the state of biking and walking across the state. On any given day you’ll find us working on these initiatives in addition to other unique projects.
Maybe you like to bike for recreation or to go to the corner store, or ride to your college classes; your transportation needs and preferences are as unique as you are. We believe that everyone has the right to be safe on the roadways whether on foot, on a bike, or in a car. We spread the word about Share the Road through online and social media sites by providing tips for all roadway users and ways to protect yourself from injury or death while you do the things you like and want to do. We support Virginia’s Cyclist and Pedestrian Awareness Week as part this ongoing campaign. Visit http://resources.bikewalkvirginia.org/ to see our program website.
