Physical Activity Prescriptions

Funding from the Virginia Department of Health has allowed BikeWalk Virginia to produce a new tool for medical practitioners to get their patients moving.  Physical Activity Prescriptions allow practitioners to "prescribe" exercise.  Recent studies have shown that patients are more apt to adhere to a written prescription than they are a verbal recommendation.

The physical activity prescription pad is a traditional prescription pad and comes with 50 sheets to a pad.  There is an accompanying general information brochure on the benefits of physical activity that can also be ordered.  The items are available free of charge.

Locality Benchmark Study

Share the Road License Plate
