Ride

Each year, BikeWalk Virginia hosts two cycling events. We love encouraging people to bike and want to share our love for cycling across the state. BWVA kicks off the year with a spring ride, the Bikes, Bands & the Bay Festival in Mathews, Virginia. Then we roll out the red carpet, hosting the largest bicycle tour in the state, Bike Virginia in June. Follow the links below to learn more.  In addition to our rides we would like to let you know about the Virginia Cap2Cap ride.  Please see below for more details.

Capital to Capital: May 7, 2011

Join the 2011 Cap2Cap ride, one of the fastest growing cycling events in the region!  Your participation supports the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation in its mission to make the Virginia Capital Trail a world-class experience.

Bikes, Bands & the Bay: April/May 2011

A weekend of music, riding, and activities for savoring the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay. Bikes, Bands & the Bay is a perfect spring time escape. Pedal or  paddle around, eat great local foods, and hear a huge assortment of music. You won’t be disappointing.

The Bike Virginia Tour:  June 24-30, 2011

A true rolling celebration of cycling. Spend five days riding with 1,999 fellow cycling enthusiasts and enjoy our special entertainment in the evenings. The Bike Virginia Tour offers camping and hotel lodging options and visits a new location across the state each year. In 2011, the Bike Virginia Tour will visit the New River Valley with our first stop being Pulaski County.
